The Department of Posts announced that the distribution of official poll cards for the upcoming Local Government Election has commenced today (16) and will be delivered door-to-door via postal service.
According to the department, this distribution process will continue until the 29th of this month.
Deputy Postmaster General Premachandra Herath stated that voters who do not receive their poll cards by post will be able to collect them from their respective post offices from the 30th of this month until May 6, the day of the election.
He further added that a special full-day distribution of poll cards will take place on the 20th.
