Individuals using electronic cigarettes, commonly known as vapes, could face arrest, as stated during a session of the Parliamentary Committee on Public Finance.
This revelation was made during a meeting chaired by Dr. Harsha de Silva, the committee’s chairman. However, Dr. de Silva also noted that no arrests have been made so far for vaping.
Recently, parents have raised concerns about the growing use of vapes among schoolchildren. However, they also pointed out that there has not been a comprehensive discussion in the country regarding a complete ban on vaping.
