SL Cricket considers Dinesh Chandimal’s Request

It is reported that Dinesh Chandimal, a former captain of the Sri Lanka Cricket team, will be given an opportunity to meet the officials of the Sri Lanka Cricket in the next two days.

Dinesh Chandimal had sent a letter to the Sri Lanka Cricket team inquiring about his continued non-nomination for matches.

At the end of his letter he requested to give him a time to meet with SLC officials to make a decision on his future cricket career.

In his letter, he points out that over the past few years, he has been confused by the methodology used to select him for the team and that it has had a profound effect on his style of play.

In his article, Chandimal compares the performances of former Sri Lankan cricketers such as Aravinda de Silva, Mahela Jayawardene, Kumar Sangakkara and Tillakaratne Dilshan in international cricket.

Although Chandimal played in the Tests and ODIs against the West Indies in March, he has not been named for the subsequent tour of Bangladesh and England, but also for the Sri Lanka-India cricket tournament starting on the 18th.
