A Sub Inspector and a retired bank manager who had bought a 15-year-old girl according to an internet advertisement and be with her sexually were arrested by the Police, Child and Women Abuse Prevention Bureau today (11).
The Sub Inspector is a basketball player attached to the Police Sports Division. He is a resident of Batticaloa. The 25 year old police officer has been sent for quarantine recently. He was arrested after surrendering to the Child and Women Abuse Prevention
Bureau today after the quarantine ended.
The retired bank manager is a 62 year old resident of Mount Lavinia. He had worked for a government bank and had stated during interrogation that he had met her only for a massage.
