According to the Government Radiology Technologists Association, due to the breakdown of the machines that carry out various tests in many hospitals, daily services have been disrupted.
The president of the association, Chanaka Dharmawickrama, stated that because of this, the sick people have been in severe economic trouble due to having to undergo the tests in private hospitals.
The Government Radiology Technologists’ Association points out that many other essential testing machines, including pet scan machines, CT scan machines, and mobile radiography machines that carry out radiation tests in intensive care units, are out of order.
