Former Health Minister and current Environment Minister Mr. Keheliya Rambukwella, who was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department yesterday, was remanded until the 15th after being produced before the Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court today.
The prison information revealed that he has been admitted to the prison hospital for treatment due to a sudden illness after taking him to the prison.
This arrest was reported by the officers of the Special Investigation Division 01 of the Criminal Investigation Department to the Inspector General of Police command room as the Minister of Environment, Mr. Keheliya Bandara Dissanayake Rambukwella (69) was arrested for the offences committed in the public domain for conspiring and abetting the misappropriation of money belonging to the Ministry of Health.
