Ports, Shipping and Aviation Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva says that by the end of this year, around 20,000 jobs related to the Port Authority will be created.
He also pointed out that Adani’s company is currently constructing a jetty at a cost of 580 million US dollars.
The Minister pointed out that after the completion of these works, about 5,000 jobs will be created at the port itself and about 15,000 direct jobs will be created in connection with that, and all those jobs will be created through the private sector where high salaries and benefits can be obtained.
