The road in Uduwara Post 7 area of the Badulla-Colombo main road, which was closed for a week due to the landslide, has been reopened today (16).
After mitigating the risk, the road has now been opened for traffic.
Today (16), a group of officers from the National Building Research Institute, Road Development Authority, Disaster Management Center, and the Police conducted an on-site inspection at the site.
Accordingly, it has been found that the road at that place is suitable for vehicles.
The District Disaster Management Unit has mentioned that as a result of a joint discussion at that place, the relevant government agencies took steps to open the road.
