In the meantime, health departments say that there is an increase in the spread of the disease among children under the age of 9 months who are not qualified to receive measles vaccinations.
Epidemiologist Dr. Samitha Ginige stated that 33% of the patients belonged to the age group who did not get the measles vaccine due to superstitions.
