Senior Geologist Laksiri Indrajith, Head of the Landslide Study Department, says that people should pay close attention to this when constructing buildings and roads.
But he points out that the lack of such a tendency among the people is the main reason for occasional landslides.
Mr. Laksiri Indrajith said that it is extremely important that the future development work is carried out on the recommendations of the National Building Research Organization.
