According to the Consumer Affairs Authority, more than 26 crore rupees have been collected as fines from the raids conducted this year.
Related cases have been filed for various offenses including selling goods at higher prices, concealing stocks, selling expired goods, not displaying prices.
The Consumer Affairs Authority states that the raids will be continued in the next few days as illegal sales of such goods increase during the festive season.
