The Department of Meteorology says that a temporary decrease in the rain conditions in the coming days is expected from today (December 20).
Several rainy seasons occur in North, East and Uva provinces and Polonnaruwa and Matale districts.
A few places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts will experience rain or thundershowers after 2.00 pm.
Foggy conditions may prevail in some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern provinces in the morning.
People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to minimize the danger caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may accompany thunderstorms.
