Power and Energy Minister Mr. Kanchana Wijesekera says that the electricity bill will be revised in January.
The minister said this while attending a press conference currently being held at the Presidential Media Center.
Accordingly, it is reported that the Electricity Board has informed the Ministry that the increased charges can be reduced during the revision of the electricity bill.
The minister also said that this decision has been taken due to the presence of rainy weather conditions and hydropower plants are operating at their maximum capacity.
