The Ministry of Labor and Foreign Employment says not to give money to any external party to get Israeli job opportunities.
The Ministry has emphasized that if it is confirmed that the money has been given, the job opportunities of those who have given the money will be lost.
Information has been received that some traffickers are working to collect money through the Minister of Labor and Foreign Employment or through private staff or by saying that such job opportunities will be provided.
The Ministry requests that don’t get fooled by such traffickers.
Thus, it is illegal for external parties to receive money by claiming to provide foreign employment opportunities.
The Ministry also mentions that people who collect money in this way will be arrested and the law will be implemented against them.
The Ministry also states that if it is confirmed that money has been given to any external party to get Israeli jobs, it has reached an agreement with the country’s PEBA to take all the necessary steps to bring them back to this country.
The Minister of Labor and Foreign Employment Mr. Manusha Nanayakkara has given strict instructions to the Ministry and the Bureau of Foreign Employment to strictly enforce the law against such traffickers if any person tries to raise money by using the name of himself or his staff saying that they will provide Israeli jobs.
Only government approved fees are charged for Israeli jobs and only the Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau is allowed to charge them.
Without that, the Ministry of Labor and Foreign Employment has emphasized that no permission has been given to any external person or organization to collect money for that purpose.
At present, Israel is working to direct workers for nursing and agriculture sector jobs and it is being implemented according to a memorandum of understanding between the two countries.
Accordingly, no opportunity to refer workers for these job opportunities has been opened to the private sector and there is no legal opportunity for any external party to intervene in such recruitments, the Ministry further emphasizes.
