The mother and the two women who were bought have been released on bail after they were arrested for selling their one-week-old newborn twins for 50,000 rupees.
When this case was heard at the Welisara Magistrate’s Court today (08), these three women were released on bail of one lakh rupees each.
As the mother of the twins said in court that she cannot accept the two children, the two babies have been placed under probation.
The magistrate has ordered to adjourn the case till January 12.
