    The Latest Decision Regarding the Post of IGP

    A proposal to limit the tenure of the officer appointed to the post of IGP to a maximum of three years is to be submitted to the Cabinet.

    If the officer appointed to the post of Inspector General of Police does not complete 60 years of service, the above decision shall apply to that officer.

    According to this decision taken by the Cabinet of Ministers, the service period of any officer appointed as Inspector General of Police will be limited to a maximum of 3 years.
