The Consumer Affairs Authority says that a special program will be implemented to release consumer goods to the market without shortage during the festival season.
It is planned to implement the new program from the 30th to the 15th of January, said its chairman lawyer Mr. ShantHa Niriella.
Meanwhile, Mr. ShantHa Niriella also mentioned that the supply of imported sugar at 25 cents tax PER KG has been started to the consumers through Sathosa and supermarkets at the maximum retail price of 275 rupees.
