Bagwanthalawa Police has started an investigation regarding an assault by a teacher on a 9-year-old student.
The police say that the attack took place in a Tamil School.
The assault was carried out by the English teacher.
The police say that the student who was assault has been admitted to Bagwanthalawa Hospital.
