Yesterday, Colombo Crime Division arrested two people who threatened the former chairman of the Public Utilities Commission Mr. Janaka Ratnayake by phone and took 15 lakh rupees by force and gave refuge to the main suspect who is on the run.
Two residents of Palwehera area have been arrested. They are 38 and 40 years old.
Police say that these two suspects were arrested during a raid in Palwehera area of Dambulla.
On October 16, Mr. Janaka Ratnayake was threatened and an amount of 15 lakh rupees was taken from him in Kirulapana.
