Electricity and Energy Minister Mr. Kanchana Wijesekera says that the electricity tariffs will be revised again in April 2024.
The minister said this while attending a news conference held in Colombo today.
The cabinet approved today to revise the electricity bill once every 3 months in a year.
However, this month there was a revision in the electricity bill.
Therefore, the minister said that the electricity bill will not be revised on the first of January next year.
Accordingly, the next electricity bill revision will be done on April 1, 2024.
