The Public Health Inspectors Association of Sri Lanka says that a symbolic strike has started today and tomorrow.
That is based on several demands including increasing the transport allowance.
Sri Lanka Public Health Inspectors Association Secretary Mr. Upul Rohana said that all officers will join the union action today and tomorrow.
Mr. Upul Rohana mentioned that even though the trade unions are engaged in action, the essential services are operational.
