The hearing of the petitions submitted by the two ministers Harin Fernando and Manusha Nanayakkara regarding their party membership has been adjourned till the 27th of this month.
That is according to an order made by the Supreme Court today.
The two ministers had submitted these petitions demanding that the decision taken by the Samagi Jana Balawega to declare their party membership against the law.
The petition was called before the three-member Supreme Court bench today (23).
The bench consists of Mr. Vijith Malalgoda, Mr. Gamini Amarasekara and Mr. Arjuna Obeysekera.
The bench that participated in the hearing of this petition the previous day was not assembled properly today.
Therefore, the court decided to adjourn the hearing on the petitions until the 27th.
