President Ranil Wickramasinghe addressed the recent attacks in Israel during a cabinet meeting today, expressing deep concern for the Sri Lankan citizens affected by the situation. He emphasized the need to ensure the safety of Sri Lankans living in Israel and instructed the police department to provide necessary facilities to Israelis visiting Sri Lanka, ensuring their security while in the country.

The Sri Lankan Embassy in Israel has reported a Sri Lankan resident sustaining minor injuries in the attacks, while a Sri Lankan woman and man have gone missing. Efforts are underway, in coordination with the International Red Cross, to determine their whereabouts and ensure their safety.
