The magistrate recently resigned from his position and left the country, citing threats to his life as the reason.
Mr. Saravanaraja submitted his resignation letter to the Secretary of the Judicial Service Commission on the 28th, expressing his concerns about threats to his life. In his communication, he indicated his intention not only to leave the profession of magistrate but also to depart from Sri Lanka.
