An Air Force soldier has lost his life in an explosion that took place this evening (26) at the shooting yard in Kalpitiya Kandakulia Air Force Base.
It is said that the explosion took place at the bomb disposal site.
The accident happened around 5 pm today.
A 28-year-old Airman died in the explosion.
Another airman was also injured in the blast.
A special investigation has been initiated by the Air Force regarding the related explosion.
