According to the Government Radiology Technologists Association, it will not be possible to perform PET scans at the Colombo National Hospital from today (20).
Its chairman Mr. Chanaka Dharmawickrama, stated that the lack of radiology officers is the cause.
Deputy Health Services Director General Dr. G Wijesuriya mentioned in this regard that on the advice of the Minister of Health, they are working to solve this problem by using radiation and science technologists who have completed their training.
