Minister Mahinda Amaraweera has announced that Milco Company, which has not undergone any audits, will be summoned before the COPA or COPE Committee.
The Minister made this statement during a discussion with all union representatives of Milco Company. The discussion also revolved around the restructuring of Milco and the National Livestock Development Board.
Representatives from professional associations highlighted that Milco Company is not effectively fulfilling its mission to the people, and significant financial losses are being incurred due to corruption and fraud. Consequently, they emphasized the necessity of conducting an audit.
In response, the Minister has pledged to take action to bring the top management of Milco Company before the COPE and COPA committees.
