    Aswasuma will be credited to the banks tomorrow

    State Minister of Finance Shehan Semasinghe says that as the second phase of the ‘Aswasuma’ welfare benefits program, the banks will credit the related money to the accounts of the beneficiaries whose accounts have been verified by tomorrow (08).

    Accordingly, the state minister claims that the amount of 1,550 million rupees related to the month of July has been credited to the banks for 257,170 beneficiaries of the second phase of Aswasuma.

    He also said that after the accounts are verified, the welfare benefits board has prepared the arrangements to pay the remaining beneficiaries.

    After making the payment related to July, it is possible to make the payment related to August simultaneously for all the beneficiaries.

    In the first phase, 5,016 million rupees related to 791,000 beneficiary families have been paid.

    So far, the government has paid an amount of 6,566 million rupees to 1,048,170 families related to the ‘Aswasuma’.

    The Minister of State also emphasized that after the completion of the survey related to appeals and objections, payments will be made to all the beneficiaries.
