Sachitra Senanayake, the former player of the Sri Lankan cricket team, has been arrested.
He was arrested by the Special Police Unit for the Prevention of Sports Offenses after he surrendered.
Allegations of match-fixing have been made against player Sachitra Senanayake.
The Attorney General’s Department had recently ordered the Sports Ministry’s Special Investigation Unit (SIU) to file criminal charges against Sachitra Senanayake as sufficient facts have been revealed in relation to the Sports Act No. 24 of 2019.
