A Secretariat of the Control Advisory Technology Committee of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) will be established in Beijing.
According to the Commercial Industry Commission of the China International Trade Promotion Committee, the number of technical committees included in the ‘control’ of the International Standardization Organization is 15.
Also, with the establishment of a Control Advisory Technology Committee Secretariat in Beijing, China has become the first Asian country to assume such a role in the International Standardization Organization.
With the chairmanship of the committee by a Chinese expert, the international recognition of China’s ongoing standardization strategy has also been confirmed.
The International Organization for Standardization was established 76 years ago.
