Litro Gas Company has revised its prices effective from midnight today (04).
Accordingly, the price of a 12.5 kg domestic gas cylinder has been increased by 145 rupees. Its new price is Rs 3,127.
Meanwhile, a 5 kg gas cylinder has been increased by 58 rupees and its new price is 1,256 rupees.
A 2.3 kg gas cylinder has been increased by Rs 26 and its new price is Rs 587.
Litro President Muditha Peiris pointed out that the increase in gas prices in the world market is the reason for this increase.
He himself said that he has provided relief to his customers when a gas cylinder of a different colour sold gas Rs. 700 more than the price of Litro.
He also pointed out that if there was no proper management, the price of the domestic gas cylinder would have gone up by more than a thousand rupees from midnight today.
