20% of dengue cases are school children, says the National Dengue Control Unit.
Its director Dr. Nalin Ariyaratne said that there is a risk of mosquito density increasing with the rains.
He also said that the government hospitals related to the treatment of dengue patients have been named by now.
62,029 dengue cases have been diagnosed so far this year.
Most of the patients have been reported from the Western Province.
That number is 30,271.
The number of dengue deaths reported so far this year is around 38.
