400 medicines that were previously in shortage have been bought and distributed

According to the Ministry of Health, 400 types of medicines have been purchased and distributed to hospitals under emergency purchases.

Its Additional Secretary Dr. Saman Ratnayake said that 378 medicines received under Indian loan schemes have been distributed to the hospitals.

However, there is a shortage of 77 types of medicines in hospitals, he said.
