The cabinet has approved the import of another 92.1 million eggs from India.
This approval is for the next 03 months.
At the cabinet meeting held yesterday (28), the Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by President Ranil Wickremesinghe as the Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization, and National Policy.
With the aim of stabilizing the price of eggs in the local market, the Sri Lanka State Trading (General) Corporation has previously approved the importation of eggs and release to the local market.
Accordingly, the prices have been called from 03 companies in India recommended by the Department of Animal Production and Health.
