The Welfare Benefits Board has taken steps to credit the money related to the month of July to the banks on Monday for 800,000 beneficiaries who have confirmed the correct information.
It is among the 1.5 million beneficiaries who have been selected.
Minister of State for Finance Mr. Shehan Semasinghe says that after verifying the information promptly, he will proceed to pay the allowances for the remaining beneficiaries as well.
So far, survey work has been started in relation to appeals and objections.
The Minister of State further said that payments will be made to all the beneficiaries as soon as it is over.
Beneficiaries who have opted for insurance will be able to withdraw money from banks from next Tuesday.
The Welfare Benefits Board is investigating whether anyone received benefits by providing false information and taking steps to recover the money and pursue legal action if necessary.
