Four Acting Ministers have been appointed for two days to oversee the ministries under President Ranil Wickramasinghe.
This appointment has been made to work in the ministries under the President while he is away from the island, who has gone to Singapore for a two-day official visit.
Accordingly, the responsibilities have been assigned for today (21st) and tomorrow (22nd) while the President is away from the island.
Minister of State for Defense Mr. Pramitha Bandara Thennakoon as Acting Minister of State for Defense, Minister of State for Finance Mr. Shehan Semasinghe as Acting Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policy, State Minister for Technology Mr. Kanaka Herath as Acting Minister of Technology, State Minister for Social Empowerment Anupa Paskuval as the Acting Minister of Women, Children Affairs and Social Empowerment have been appointed.
