A Filipino national who was staying at a hotel in Narahenpita was arrested by the Police Narcotics Bureau with 2 kilos and 294 grams of cocaine.

This 28-year-old Filipino was arrested by the officers of the Police Narcotics Bureau yesterday evening and kept in the same hotel to identify the people who are coming to take these drugs.
Accordingly, when a person from Kirulapana came to take the cocaine parcel, he was arrested this evening. The man is 49 years old. It has been found in the investigation that these people are being led by a foreign drug trafficker.
A sum of 07 lakh rupees was also taken into custody by the Kirulapana person. The Police Narcotics Bureau says that the suspects are being held under a detention order and further investigations are being conducted.
