The police say that a businessman who left home to withdraw money from a bank has been missing since yesterday morning.
The police found the van in which the businessman left his home near the Anilkanda cemetery during the night.
Sarath Kumara, who lives near Nedola School in Kolonna police domain, has gone missing and is involved in the tea business.
A senior police officer said that there is a suspicion that this businessman is missing due to a loan transaction and that leaving the van shows that there is a pretense that a kidnapping or some other crime has taken place.
The police say that the businessman’s two mobile phones are also inactive.
