    Here’s how eggs imported from India will arrive in supermarkets next week

    Sri Lanka State Trading (General) Corporation emphasizes that one million eggs are imported from India daily.

    Its chairman Mr. Asiri Walisundara states that a million eggs will be distributed daily through Lanka Sathosa.

    Accordingly, he mentioned that steps have been taken to provide all the eggs imported from India to the consumers.

    Mr. Asiri Walisundara also says that a special program has been prepared to distribute packaged eggs to all supermarkets by next week.

    He also states that the price of a packaged egg sold in supermarkets is 42 rupees.
