Two people who came to a house on Kandana Leo Mawatha on a motorcycle fired many shots towards the house this morning and fled.
Police say that the owner of this house is a meat businessman.
The investigation revealed that there were bullet marks on the front gate and the wall of the house.
A senior police officer said that an underworld criminal had threatened the businessman from Dubai for ransom and it appears that the shooting took place due to non-payment of the ransom.
Kandana police have found the motorcycle that the shooters came from. Investigations are currently underway.
