Surveyors report sick leave to make the government listen

The Government Surveyors Association says that they will start a trade union action from today (26).

Its chairman Mr. Duminda Undugoda stated that he started the professional action by reporting sick leave to protest against the arbitrary actions of the Minister of Lands.

“We have asked for solutions to the physical human and resource problems that have arisen in the surveying department, and there are many problems that have arisen from the professional perspective of surveying.

At this time, while they are saying that there is no money in the country, many misdeeds are being done by giving the surveying work of the surveying department to the private sector.

Today we reported sick leave. We informed the minister and the ministry’s secretary about this a week ago.

But till now, there is no answer. If there are no response to this, we will again report sick leave on August 2. A protest is being held in Colombo.” Mr. Duminda Undugoda also said.
