The Ministry of Education has decided to conduct a competitive examination to recruit teachers related to several subjects of the A/L examination.
The ministry said that it has also received the approval of the cabinet.
Through this, teachers are to be recruited for A/L mathematics and science streams, foreign language subjects and technical streams.
At the provincial level, the number of people recruited under this is 5450.
The Ministry of Education stated that under 35-year-old teachers who have met the qualifications according to the constitution can apply for this.
Applications for the exam will be called for in the next few weeks.
