A police officer was injured and admitted to the Colombo National Hospital yesterday when a tear gas shell fell on the ground and exploded while returning the tear gas weapons and bullets taken to disperse a protest held in Colombo celebrating Black July.
A police constable working in the anti-riot force has been hospitalized.
