Since the President’s Secretary Mr. Saman Ekanayake is participating in the official visit of the President to India, Mrs. Chandani Wijewardena has been appointed to look after the work of the President’s Secretary until he returns to this country.
The President has made this appointment with effect from today (20).
It is said that this is the first time in the history of this country that a woman has been appointed to the position of President’s Secretary.
