A privilege had for public employees under the unpaid leave was abolished

The Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government has issued a new circular revoking a privilege that had been given until now when approving 5 years of unpaid leave to government officials.

Accordingly, the new circular has abolished the opportunity to go for the seniority that the officer was entitled to during the unpaid leave period.

The new circular states that when the public employee who has taken unpaid leave returns to work after the leave period, he will be entitled to seniority at the time just before his leave.
