The police constable who recorded and circulated the video on social media asking his girlfriend to show her chest during a video phone call has been arrested.
This police constable attached to the police headquarters was arrested yesterday (15) by the Computer Crime Investigation Division of the Criminal Investigation Department.
It has been revealed that this police constable was heavily addicted to using ice drugs when he was brought before the forensic officer.
The female police constable was previously suspended for this incident because, in the videotape, the incident occurred while she was wearing the police uniform.
The incident took place on or around August 12, 2022. At that time, she was working at Millaniya Police Station. She says that the incident happened at Millaniya police women’s restroom.
Then the two have met from time to time. All that has been secretly videotaped by this officer.
It is said that these videos have started to be shared on social media after the female officer left him after being disappointed with some of his behaviour.
This officer came to know that her nude photos and videos are being shared on social media on the last 06th. She has filed a complaint to the Computer Crime Investigation Division on the 7th. After an investigation, this male officer was arrested.
The Negombo Assistant Superintendent of Police has conducted a disciplinary inquiry against her and suspended her from work based on her showing the private parts wearing the police uniform.
