The Kennesaw Police Department has identified a Sri Lankan youth who was reported missing on July 2 in Atlanta, Georgia, as dead.
According to his LinkedIn page, Navaratne has been working as a financial services representative at Morgan Stanley since May 2022.
Kennesaw police said in a July 8 missing persons notice that Hasith Navaratne was last heard from on Sunday, July 2, and stated that he was on his way to Atlanta.
The police also say that Mr. Navaratne last drove a white Lexus RX 350 type car.
Last Wednesday, Kennesaw Police said that the Atlanta Police informed that a body suspected to be that of Mr. Navaratne was found at the Atlanta Autopsy site.
According to the evidence found at the scene of their autopsy, the deceased person appears to be Mr. Navaratne.
“We are waiting for the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office to confirm the identity,” the police said.
The Kennesaw Police BOLO was cancelled on Wednesday after Atlanta police notified the department.
BOLO is an acronym used for ‘be on the lookout’.
