This morning, local residents found the body of Tumpane’s Sub-Chief Justice Sanghanayaka Muruddeniye Seelarathana Thero, of the Tampita Vihara of Charliyadda Viharaya, who was dressed in a sarong, baniyam and a cap.
A bag of vegetables was also found near the dead body. The dead body was found on the way to the temple.
The police investigating the matter say that this person is 67 years old. It appears that he died while on a secret journey, according to the police.
Investigations are being conducted to find out the cause of this death as well as to whom he left to meet, removing his robes and dressed in normal clothes.
