Education Minister Susil Premajayantha says that the 2023 General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced level examination will be held before the end of this year.
He also said that arrangements have been made to hold the GCE O/L examination to be held in the month of December in the first quarter of 2024.
The minister said this today (07) in Parliament.
The work of evaluating the answer sheets of the GCE A/L Examination 2022 has reached the final stage.
He also mentioned that immediately after its completion, the evaluation of the GCE O/L examination Answer Sheets will be started.
The minister also said that all provincial and regional offices will be notified to stop giving the information of exam candidates, including the GCE O/L, to an external party.
Accordingly, the minister said that organizing programs to provide professional training to students can be done independently within the school system together with the institutions under the Ministry of Education without the intervention of any other external party.
