Divulapitiva police arrested two people who were ready to sell a priceless Elephant pearl (Gajamuthu) for 22 lakh rupees.
A senior police officer said that during a raid in the Ullalapola area of Divulapitiya, two youths were arrested with this Elephant pearl, which was ready to be sold.
These two suspects are aged 22 and 47, residents of Navagaththegama and Ragama.
These two suspects were to be produced before the Minuwangoda Magistrate’s Court today.
